There is no way to rescue Sunita, who is trapped in space

Indian-American astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are stuck in the International Space Station (ISS). Meanwhile, NASA has chosen Elon Musk's SpaceX to bring astronauts back to Earth. রিকশাচালক বাবার খোঁজে বাড্ডা নতুন বাজার এলাকায় যায় শিশু ইমন। হঠাৎ একটি গুলি এসে বাঁ পা ভেদ করে বেরিয়ে যায়, আরেকটি গুলি তার ডান পায়ের হাড়ে আটকে থাকে। লোকজন তাকে উদ্ধার করে নিয়ে যায় হাসপাতালে। গত ৭ আগস্ট অস্ত্রোপচারে ডান পায়ের গুলি বের করা হয়। কিন্তু ইমনের পঙ্গুত্ববরণের আশঙ্কা করছেন চিকিৎসকরা। ইমন বর্তমানে ঢাকা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালের বার্ন ইউনিট ভবনের গ্রিন ইউনিটের ৭ নম্বর শয্যায় চিকিৎসাধীন। সরেজমিনে ঢামেক হাসপাতালে বার্ন ভবনে দেখা যায়, কোটা আন্দোলনে সৃষ্ট সহিংসতায় আহত রোগীদের মধ্যে এখনও এই হাসপাতালে ১৪৪ জন চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছে। এর মধ্যে বেশির ভাগই গুলিবিদ্ধ। গ্রিন ইউনিটের বারান্দায় রেখে চিকিৎসা চলছে ইমনের। গত মাসের ১৯ জুলাই (শুক্রবার) কোটা আন্দোলনকে কেন্দ্র করে রাজধানীসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে আন্দোলনকারীদের সঙ্গে পুলিশ ও আওয়ামী লীগের ত্রিমুখী ব্যাপক সংঘর্ষ চলছিল। এদিন সকাল ১০টার দিকে ১২ বছর বয়সী শিশু ইমন তার রিকশাচালক বাবার খোঁজে বাড্ডা নতুন বাজার এলাকায় যায়। সংঘর্ষের মধ্যে দিগ্বিদিক ছোটাছুটির এক পর্যায়ে ইমনের দুই পায়ে দুটি গুলি লাগে। এরপর আর কিছু বলতে পারে না সে। শিশু ইম...

41 killed in Nepal road accident

Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan confirmed the deaths during a press conference in Mumbai on Friday. A bus carrying around 43 passengers mostly Indian tourists, veered off the road into the Marsyangdi River at Ainapahara in Nepal's Tanahun District on 23 August. During the press conference, minister Mahajan said that the state government is in constant touch with the Nepal administration and also with the Embassy of Delhi to coordinate the relief efforts. As many as 44 lakh people remained marooned in 11 districts including Cumilla and Chattogram. BSS reports that 15 people died and 48 lakh were affected in the districts.
